Membership of the PNG Law Society is a statutory requirement for anyone wishing to practise law in PNG. Apply for a Practising Certificate as an individual lawyer, or register your law firm — and renew annually through this portal.
Annual fees in Kina
Fees set by Council under the Lawyers Act. Payment accepted via internet banking, Kundu Pei, BSP IPG, mobile banking, EFTPOS, or bank deposit. Proof uploaded through the member portal and verified by Accounts.

Submit online
Lawyers complete the Practising Certificate application with a sponsor lawyer. Firms register their entity with IPA + principal-partner details.
References + Council
Secretariat acknowledges within 2 business days, checks references, and tables your application at the next Council meeting.
Invoice → certificate
On approval, an invoice issues in PGK. Once your payment is verified, your certificate is issued and your directory listing goes live.
